The DS-8N-8926 standard #1 main bearing has a grooved upper shell with one hole. It can be used in Caterpillar 3208 engine models with the following engine serial numbers:

- 75V1 through 75V2304
- 79V1408 through 79V2200
- 90N1 through 90N13233
They are typically utilized in the following applications:
- 225, 225B, 225D, 229 and 231D Excavators
- V160B, V165C, V180B, V200, V200B, V200C, V225, V225B, V225C, V250B, V265C, V300B, V300C, V330B, V330C, V550, V620, V700, V800, V900 and V925 Lift Trucks
- 227 Loggers
